Speed Dating for Ghosts

Now here's a game that immediately grabbed my attention. When I'm browsing through hundreds of upcoming steam games, you see a lot of the same kind of stuff, over and over again. But this, well, it's definitely original. So that's a good start.

In Speed Dating for Ghosts, you play as one of the recently deceased who, for whatever reason, decided to show up to a ghost speed dating night. You meet 9 different characters of varying ages, genders, and states of decay. Of course, being ghosts, the topics invariably seem to revolve around death, although there are some exceptions. After chatting with everyone you can then decide to meet up with the ones you like later, for a real date.

Mechanically, the game is just dialogue, you pick whatever line you like best, that's it. But it works fine. Because it is good dialogue. I enjoyed spending time with all the characters in this game, getting to know their stories, helping them with their unfinished business, robbing a bank, all that jazz.

It's just a nice, charming game. It's about 2 hours worth of content, so it's on the short side for $10. As always I got it on sale, but I don't think the price is over the top. If you like quirky, original games, give this one a shot. I give it 3.5/5 stars.
